National Poetry Day
// Concept & Copy //

A collaboration with NZ’s largest independent OOH company in celebration of National Poetry Day.

It was 2022 and everyone was in that post-pandemic feeling of like ugh, life —what next?

In partnership with GO Media, I worked with the wonderful designer Billy Baxter to create a series of list poems that would last eight-seconds of digital billboard screentime and instill a bit of hope for the future.

We called the collection ‘Goodbye To All That,’ drawing on the bleak feelings of winter to make a fun series that made people feel less alone in their existentialism.

Inspired by the social media onslaught of internet therapy, these were designed to be fun acerbic twists as we all came out of our collective Covid experience.

We liked the idea of a name that interacted with the whole design of the space without feeling pretentious or too conceptual — making poetry accessible to anyone.
